Moore Teat Revolver

Moore Teat Revolver was produced by Moore`s Patent firearms Company between 1864 and 1867. Also the National Arms Company of Brooklyn (New York) made them from 1867 to 1871. This antique revolver fired the teat cartridge.Has a fully countersunk bullet point. The rear of the case ends in a tip in which the primer is contained.

This antique gun had to be loaded from the front. The cylinder was not fully drilled through.

Was produced with a small opening for the firing pin point at the rear end of the cylinder chamber, this had been devised to evade the existing Rolling White patent owned by Smith & Wesson. This type of cartridge is called “Central Fire Waterproof Copper Shell Cartridge”.

Moore´s factory went bankrupt in 1867 and the production was continued by the National Arms Company.
