Martini Metford MkIV 1886

The british rifle Martini Metford based in the Martini falling-block action and with a barrel designed by the British Engineer W. Metford, a barrel with five or seven rifling turns. This rifle has a straight English stock. Some antique firearms collectors says that the Martini Metford is the intermediate rifle of the Martini-Henry and the Martini-Enfield of 1889 (7.6 mm calibre).

Winchester 1873 Sporting rifle

Were produced more than 7o0.000 of these firearms from 1873 to 1919. Model 1873 was built in 3 versions: the sporting rifle with a 24″ (61 cm) octagonal, round barrel; the carbine with a 20″ (51 cm) round barrel and the musket with a 30″ (76.2 cm) round barrel.

Also were created three different model versions (with minor modifications). Winchester made a special version of this firearm in 1878, the great “One of One thousand”, 136 were built.These Sporting rifle was sold in more than us$70.000 at an auction in the year1991.

Remington Lee 1885 carbine

This carbine was produced by E. Remington and Sons between 1885 and 1887, also by the Remington Arms Company of Ilion from 1888 to 1895. Were built 10,000 of these rifles.

Only 26 of these carbines have a detachable cartridge-holder of the Lee type, later also be used for British Enfield firearms.

James Paris Lee born in 1831 and died in 1904. A Scotsman who emigrated to Canada, after his education he went to the USA, where he made his first magazine rifles on the American Navy. Several European arms companies showed interested.

Tranter 1856 army revolver

The Tranter 1856 was built by William Tranter. He made this antique revolver to enter in a firearms test on the initiative of the British Army who were looking for new revolvers.

There are two versions: the civilian and the military version. The barrel can have the inscriptions of other manufacturers like Thomas Jackson and Rigby who produce this revolver too. Have a ramrod on the left side of the revolver.  One of the best  antique British revolvers.

Colt 1894 Bisley

Colt 1894 Bisley

The Colt 1894 Bisley was produced from 1894 to 1915. This Colt revolver was built as a match revolver with an extra curved grip back. The model name Bisley has been stamped into barrel. In the production period, the Bisley was sold in a large range of calibres. The name of this antique gun was chosen to sold it in the British market, but sold very well in the United States of America.

Moore Teat Revolver

Moore Teat Revolver was produced by Moore`s Patent firearms Company between 1864 and 1867. Also the National Arms Company of Brooklyn (New York) made them from 1867 to 1871. This antique revolver fired the teat cartridge.Has a fully countersunk bullet point. The rear of the case ends in a tip in which the primer is contained.

This antique gun had to be loaded from the front. The cylinder was not fully drilled through.

Was produced with a small opening for the firing pin point at the rear end of the cylinder chamber, this had been devised to evade the existing Rolling White patent owned by Smith & Wesson. This type of cartridge is called “Central Fire Waterproof Copper Shell Cartridge”.

Moore´s factory went bankrupt in 1867 and the production was continued by the National Arms Company.

Antique coffee pots have been unfashionable since the late 1960s, but for their attractiveness, coffee pots should be worthy of greater appreciation and value. The pieces of the later 18th century, are often decorated with embossing. The topics of embossing are usually of: flowers, cartouches and scrolls. A Georgian coffee pot can cost over $1500.

Remington 1863 Zouave Rifle - American Firearm

The 1863 Zouave Rifle was produced between 1862 and 1865 by Springfield. Were made a total of 12.500 rifles. Both barrel bands, the stock plate and the patchbox were produced of brass. Pedersoli builts an excellent replica of this firearm, marketed by many companies and Navy Arms.

Antique marrow scoops

Antique marrow scoops were produced from the 17th century and were used to scoop out bone marrow. These scoops have always the same size with a small and a large end to cater for all kind of bone. Marrow scoops are plain in design but sometimes have a crest on the wider end.

Most pieces today available were produced in the late 18th century, so earlier scoops are more expensive.

Marble - alabaster (century 1900)

Some italian families like Cipriani and Pugi produced signed and unsigned decorative pieces around 1900. Busts and figures in classical or contemporary pose show this period of art.

Be careful with restorations, especially on hands and long necks. These pieces are solid, and abrasions are normal signs of age, but always look the areas of different textures it may be air-brushed white paint hiding bad restorations.

->Hans Muller was an Austrian sculptor, he was born on January 10th 1873. He study in the Vienna Academe of Art. He is known for his busts of the famous Viennese people, also he produced a few animal sculptures mostly of hunting dogs.
Sand Cast Bronze

Sculpture by Hans Muller. This sculpture called Sand Cast Bronze and was produced around 1900. With 5 1/4″ height by 8 1/4″ length is mounted on a 9″ by 4 1/2″ by 1″ thick marble base. Signed H. Muller on the reverse side and stamped Austria .

->The sculptor Alphonse-Alexandre Arson was born in Paris, France on January 11th 1822.

Rabbit Family

This sculpture called Rabbit Family(3 7/8″ height by 3 1/4″ length) was produced around 1850 by Alphonse-Alexandre Arson. This bronze is a depiction of a mother rabbit and her son. Is finished in a brown patina and mounted on a red marble base.
