Remington 1866 Derringer
This revolver was designed by H. Elliot of Remington Arms Co.. Remington produced more than 140.000 Derringer revolvers between 1866 and 1835, in .41 rimfire.
Several modifications were implemented in the period of production:
Type 1- First series without ejector.
Type 1- Central series with ejector.
Type 1- Late production with automatic ejector.
Type 2 and 3 only have a difference in the inscriptions:
Type 2- “Remington Arms Co., Ilion, N.Y.”
Type 3- “Remington Arms U.M.C. Co., Ilion, N.Y.”
