Winchester 1860 Henry Rifle
Oh, i love this gun, enjoy the information.
Derived from the Volcanic rifle in combination with the new rim-fire cartridge developed by B. Tyler Henry, the first series had a round stock plate and were produced by the New Haven Arms Company from 1860 to 1862, followed by the sharp-plated version from 1863 to 1866. In 1860 and 1861 the frames were made of iron (some 300 of them were made) and then of brass until 1866. The total number of Winchester 1860 Henry Rifles produced numbers about 14.000 . The military version has lanyard rings.
Beautiful replicas of these weapons are produced by Cimarron Arms and Hege-Uberti.
